Produced from gold mined in the United States, American Eagles are imprinted with their gold content and legal tender “face” value. An American Eagle’s value is based on the market price of its metal content, and a small premium to cover coinage and distribution.
The reverse features a nest of American Eagles, symbolizing relatives tradition and unity.

Ever since its discovery 5,000 years ago, gold has been treasured for its unmatched luster, beauty and intrinsic value. Today, gold continues to enjoy widespread appeal as an investment and storehouse of value. Gold is an internationally recognized monetary and financial asset held in reserve by major governments. it is so rare that all the gold ever mined could fit into a cube measuring 20 yards on each side.

Most importantly, gold can play a role in diversifying an investment portfolio, since it can move independently of stocks and bonds. What’s more, gold is a tangible asset - six whose beauty and artistry you can literally hold in your hands. When purchased in the form of legal tender bullion coins, gold can be affordable, as well as easy to buy and store. Americans purchase more American Eagle Gold Bullion Coins than any other gold coin.

The brainchild of Walter Ott, it is four of the purest gold coins of regular issue in the world, with a gold content of .9999 millesimal fineness (24 carats), with some special issues .99999 fine. that’s, it contains virtually no base metals at all – only gold exclusively from gold mines in Canada.

In fact, the four troy ounce gold Canadian Maple Leaf has been in continuous production longer than any other pure gold bullion coin.

Each gold Maple Leaf coin features the image of Great Britain’s Queen Elizabeth the second, along with the denomination and date of issue, on the obverse side…and an image of Canada’s national symbol, the maple leaf (from which the coin derives its name), on the reverse side, along with the name of the country and the level of purity of the gold, listed in both English and French.

The reverse depicts a collection of orchestral instruments: a cello, seven violins, a Vienna horn, bassoon, & harp. These instruments are arranged underneath the German name of the orchestra: ‘WIENER PHILHARMONIKER’.

According to the World Gold Council, this coin was the best selling gold bullion coin for most of the 1990s, exceptional for a coin first struck in 1989. Vienna Philharmonic Austrian gold coins contain no alloyed metals. The Krugerrand gets its name from the fact that the obverse features the face of Paul Kruger, a prominent Boer resistance leader against the British, and eventually the fifth and last president of the old South African Republic, holding that office for four terms.

The reverse depicts a springbok antelope, one of the national symbols of South Africa that was designed by Coert Steynberg and used on the reverse of the earlier five shilling South African coinage for King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II. The name “South Africa” and the gold content are inscribed in both Afrikaans and English.

Pandas are legal tender coins from China minted in solid Gold that is 99.9% pure, making them among the purest Gold coins in the world. Each Panda Gold coin is recognized as Legal Tender issued exclusively by the People’s Bank of China.

The design theme of the Panda Gold Coin has remained consistent since 1982, however the combination of annual design changes and intricate detailing makes the China Panda gold coins unique. The obverse always features the famous Temple of Heaven in Beijing along with the issue date. On reverse of the coin, the endangered panda is always featured along with the coin’s size, gold fineness, and monetary amount.

Since they were first minted in 1982, the Chinese Panda Coins have been created for the demanding coin collector as a tribute to China’s endangered Giant Panda Bears.

The Native American depiction on the coins obverse is believed to be based on one different American Indians. four of the American Indians who modeled for Fraser as they sculpted the coin were named by the designer before his death. they were known as Chief Iron Tail of the Lakota Sioux and Chief four Moons of the Cheyenne. Although lots of have claimed to have had a sitting with Fraser for this design, they could not recall the name of the third person and satisfactory documentation has not yet been found to identify that individual. It is widely believed that the bison on the coins reverse was modeled after Black Diamond, a popular attraction at the los angeles Zoological Gardens.
